California DUI attorney Darren Kavinoky is a nationally known lawyer and media commentator who is equally at ease in the courtroom and in front of a television camera. As the founder of The Kavinoky Law Firm, California’s leading law firm devoted to alcohol- and drug-related offenses, Darren has earned a reputation as a fierce advocate for the rights of criminal defendants.
Darren has been honored many times for his dedication and skill as a defense lawyer. Los Angeles Magazine named him a “Super Lawyer Rising Star” in 2005 and 2006, and he enjoys a coveted “AV” rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Registry, which is granted by peers only to attorneys with the highest levels of skill and integrity.
As part of The Kavinoky Law Firm’s mission to help individuals who have problems with alcohol or drugs turn the worst events in their lives into a catalyst for change, Darren donates countless hours to treatment facilities that include Liberty House, Genesis House and Herbert House. He also volunteers in sober living environments to help men obtain expungements and other forms of post-conviction relief.
Kavinoky began his career as a criminal defense attorney in 1994 as an associate with Floyd, Skeren & Kelly where he focused on all facets of criminal defense law. By 2001, Darren was the Managing Attorney of the Criminal Law Section of that firm, and in 2004 he became a named partner and supervised more than 30 attorneys. He left there to found The Kavinoky Law Firm. Darren earned his law degree from the University of La Verne College of Law.

Craig earned his law degree from Glendale University College of Law and served with the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office for five years before coming to work for The Kavinoky Law firm.
Craig is an active member of the bar associations of Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties, the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, California Defense Lawyers, the National College of DUI Defense, and the California Public Defenders’ Association.
